Dr. Shreyas Shastry is a Pulmonologist with an M.D. in Tuberculosis and Respiratory Medicine (TBRD) from J.J.M. Medical College, where he was awarded a Gold Medal and secured the R.G.U.H.S. University 2nd Rank. He also holds an M.B.B.S. from Adichunchunagiri Institute of Medical Sciences (AIMS) and has further specialised through the European Diploma in Adult Respiratory Medicine (EDARM), awarded by the European Respiratory Society. His clinical training spans outpatient and inpatient respiratory care, with a particular focus on Bronchial Asthma, COPD, and Interstitial Lung Disease (ILD), alongside management of complex pulmonary cases. He has hands-on experience in interventional pulmonology procedures, including flexible bronchoscopy, semi-rigid thoracoscopy, and Endobronchial Ultrasound-Guided Transbronchial Needle Aspiration (EBUS-TBNA), as well as evaluation and scoring of sleep studies in a Level I Polysomnography (PSG) laboratory. Before specialising in respiratory medicine, Dr. Shastry worked as an Emergency Response and Control Physician with 108 Ambulance Services, Bangalore, and as a Medical Officer at a Community Health Centre in Kushalnagara, giving him a broad clinical foundation across emergency and community healthcare settings. He is an AHA Certified ACLS & BLS Instructor and has contributed to published research in respiratory and pulmonary medicine.
