Dr. Sushruth J is an Orthopaedic Consultant with training in arthroplasty and spine surgery. His clinical background spans hip, knee and shoulder arthroplasty as well as the evaluation and management of spinal disorders, supported by academic and research experience in orthopaedic surgical care.
About Dr. Sushruth J
Dr. Sushruth J completed his MBBS at Bangalore Medical College and Research Institute (RGUHS University, Bengaluru) and went on to pursue his MS in Orthopedics at Ramaiah Medical College, RGUHS University, Bengaluru. He gained senior residency experience in orthopaedics at BGS Global Medical College and at Bangalore Medical College and Research Institute, where he provided outpatient and inpatient care, participated in orthopaedic surgical procedures, and supported academic and research initiatives. He subsequently completed a Fellowship in Arthroplasty at Manipal Hospital, Yeshwanthpur and Hebbal, Bengaluru, under the mentorship of Dr. Kiran Chouka, followed by a Fellowship in Spine Surgery (FRGUHS) at the Sanjay Gandhi Institute of Trauma and Orthopaedics, Bengaluru. During his spine fellowship, he was involved in outpatient spinal care, diagnosis of spinal disorders, and cervical, thoracic and lumbar spinal procedures, including minimally invasive techniques, alongside continued research and academic activity. He also holds a FIFA Diploma in Football Medicine. His research work includes multiple peer-reviewed publications in the areas of ankle biomechanics, spinal trauma outcomes, ACL reconstruction techniques and knee osteoarthritis.
